§ 30-6. Interpretation, conflict, severability, effect, and repeal.

  • (a)

    Interpretation. In their interpretation and application, the provisions of these regulations shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion of the public health, safety, and welfare.

    (b)

    Conflict with other laws. These regulations are not intended to interfere with, abrogate, or annul any other ordinance, rule or regulation, statute or other provision of law except as provided in these regulations. Where any provision of these regulations imposes restrictions different from those imposed by any other provision of these regulations, or other provision of law, the provision which is more restrictive or imposes higher standards shall control.

    (c)

    Severability. These regulations and the various parts thereof are hereby declared to be severable. Should any section, clause or provision of these regulations be declared invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect nor impair the validity of any other provision or remainder of these regulations, including any chapter, section, subsection, clause, phrase or word.

    (d)

    Effect. These regulations shall apply to all new subdivision proposals received by the county on or after March 20, 2001.

    (e)

    Repeal. Upon the adoption of these regulations by the board of supervisors all previous subdivision regulations, as amended, prior to the date of the approval of these regulations are hereby repealed.
