§ 28-116. Permit required.

  • (a)

    All garbage/refuse haulers are required to obtain a health permit. Each vehicle is required to have a separate permit. The appropriate application and fees must be brought into the county environmental health division when applying for a health permit.

    (b)

    The license is not transferable, either from person to person or from vehicle to vehicle.

    (c)

    Prior to obtaining a health permit all vehicles must be inspected by a sanitarian or other authorized personnel. Applicable fees will apply.

    (d)

    License and registration information must be obtained, photocopied at the time of permit application and maintained in the facility file.

    (e)

    The permit holder shall ensure that the permit number is plainly and durably inscribed in contrasting colors on the side door panels of the vehicle and the rear face of the tank in figures not less than three inches high, and that the numbers are legible at all times.

    (f)

    Permit(s) may be suspended and/or revoked in accordance with the provisions of this division.
