§ 18-150. Colorado River floodway fringe.
The following provisions apply in addition to the basic requirements of divisions 2 and 3 of this section:
(1)
Fill, permanent structures or buildings, including residential structures, may be placed or erected in the Colorado River floodway fringe, provided, in the case of buildings, that the elevation of the lowest floor (including basements) is at least one foot above the Colorado River base flood elevation.
(2)
Land may be filled, provided the top of the fill shall at no point be below the Colorado River base flood elevation for at least 25 feet beyond the limits of any structure erected or placed thereon and that the placement of the fill meets the fill compaction criteria of part 65.5 of the National Flood Insurance Program regulations.
