§ 16-26. Prohibited conduct.

  • (a)

    During the effective term of any outdoor fire and permissible consumer fireworks prohibition enacted pursuant to this article, it shall be unlawful to burn, start, ignite, build, have, possess, maintain or use any open fire, campfire or permissible consumer fireworks within any fire-ban zone(s) subject to said prohibition.

    (b)

    Fire prevention measures within the boundaries of a county park that can be imposed by the parks division of the county public works, regardless of whether an outdoor fire and permissible consumer fireworks prohibition has been enacted, may include restrictions or prohibitions on open fires, campfires, stove fires, fireworks, smoking, charcoal grills, welding, torch or other metal cutting implements, and any other measures deemed necessary for life safety and property protection purposes.
