§ 10-121. Sewage disposal.

(a)

The liquid wastes from all transient dwelling establishments shall be discharged into a public sewer system in compliance with applicable local regulations, codes or state rules or into an on-site wastewater system approved by the department and/or the state department of environmental quality.

(b)

On-site wastewater systems will not be approved where in the opinion of the department connection to a public sewer is practicable.

(c)

Where on-site wastewater systems are proposed the design, construction and operation of such systems shall be in accordance with the state aquifer protection permits. Plans and specifications for such systems shall be submitted to the department and/or the state department of environmental quality and approval received prior to the start of construction.

(d)

No sewage treatment effluent or other wastewater shall be deposited on the surface of the ground except in a manner approved by the department.
