§ 10-21. Requirements for posting rating card and other required information.

(a)

A card imprinted with the establishment's rating shall be given to food establishments and shall be required to be posted.

(b)

The rating card must be posted for public viewing in a conspicuous area inside the establishment near the entry way or near the cash register. The rating card must be posted along with the health permit and other required food borne illness information in frames to be provided by the county department of public health, environmental health division.

(c)

An informational flyer regarding food borne illness information and other pertinent health department information must be posted for public viewing in a conspicuous area inside the establishment near the entry way or near the cash register.

(d)

The environmental health department will provide the rating cards and informational flyer for posting and will make the determination of the most appropriate place in the establishment for hanging the required information. The environmental health department will provide frames for the required information.

(e)

The rating card and the informational flyer must be posted with the facility's permit to operate. Upon completion of inspection, the new grade card shall be posted prior to opening for business the following day.

(f)

Failure to post the rating card or permit in a conspicuous location will be considered a critical violation for purposes of inspection.
